Town Office

The Town Office is responsible for administrating the Town of Sturgis, communicating with Town Council, and overseeing and fulfilling the day-to-day operations.

Permits and licenses

Pet licenses

Pets that are one year old or older require an annual license. Please contact the Town Office to apply or notify us of any changes with your pets.

Business licenses

Out-of-town businesses and local contractors are required to have an annual business license. The charges will be applied to the homeowner’s taxes if a contract does not have the required license.

Building permits

Building permits are required for all renovations and new builds. Please get in touch with the Town Office for more information.

Landfill Information

Landfill hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Town residents should have their garbage carts ready for pickup by 8 am on Thursday mornings.

Out-of-town residents are advised that the Town of Sturgis landfill is for Sturgis residents only. Please contact the RM of Preeceville to find the regional landfill for your RM.
